On May 7, content vendor Dexter Studio announced its new MOU with SKonec Entertainment, the largest virtual reality (VR) developer in Korea, to produce and commercialize new VR content.
Based on the terms of the MOU, Dexter Studio will produce new content by combining its movie intellectual properties (IP) with VR content (e.g. VR Escape Room) developed by SKonec Entertainment moving forward.
In addition to producing content, both companies will continue to work together to generate synergy and establish an ecosystem for VR content.
“We believe this is an extremely significant development. It’s a first step towards creating a win-win structure for both companies that are leaders in VR content production. We look forward to creating new killer content by combining Dexter Studio’s expertise in storytelling and SKonec Entertainment’s prowess in game development and platform business solutions. Together, we will take the lead in expanding the new media VR market, both in Korea and abroad,” said Kim Wook, General Manager at Dexter Studio.
